Role Overview:

As the Service Manager at Halliday’s of Bushmills, you'll oversee the Service Department, ensuring adherence to processes, handling customer enquiries and complaints, managing the invoicing process and be responsible and accountable for the overall Service Department performance.

You'll monitor historical WIP jobs and facilitate communication between the sales and service teams by attending weekly meetings and providing updates as needed. Your leadership will be pivotal in maintaining operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer Satisfaction

• Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and satisfactorily, ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Foster strong customer relationships through regular communication, actively listening to customer feedback, and implementing suggestions for improvement.
• Implement feedback mechanisms such as surveys or comment cards to continuously monitor and measure customer satisfaction levels.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless customer service across all touchpoints, from initial inquiry to post-service follow-up.

Department Efficiency

• Streamline workflow processes by identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to minimise repair turnaround time.
• Monitor and optimise technician productivity and resource utilisation through effective scheduling and workload distribution.
• Implement systems, such as digital job tracking tools or inventory management software, to track and manage work-in-progress jobs efficiently.
• Regularly review and update standard operating procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and quality of service delivery.

Financial Targets

• Develop and manage departmental budgets, allocating resources effectively to achieve financial objectives while maintaining profitability.
• Analyse financial data, including revenue, expenses, and profit margins, to identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue enhancement strategies.
• Implement pricing strategies and service packages based on market analysis and customer demand to maximise revenue generation.
• Monitor key financial metrics regularly and adjust strategies as needed to ensure alignment with overall business goals and objectives.

Staff Performance

• Provide strong leadership and direction to service team members, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, setting clear goals and expectations, and providing constructive feedback to support employee growth and development.
• Facilitate ongoing training and development to enhance team skills and knowledge, keeping them updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices.
• Recognise and reward high-performing employees, fostering motivation and job satisfaction while addressing performance issues promptly and effectively.
